Celebrating the Outstanding Men in Our Lives

Father’s Day is a time to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and brothers across Clontarf academies nationwide. These male role models provide the steadfast support and affection that strengthen families and communities.

At Jabiru Academy, this spirit of celebration was brought to life through a special event. Instead of their usual morning AFL game, the boys organised a vibrant community breakfast BBQ, inviting everyone to come together and enjoy a delicious bacon and egg roll. This event was an opportunity to acknowledge the important roles these men play in their lives and to strengthen community bonds.

The breakfast was made possible with generous support from Marrawuddi Art Gallery and the committed teachers from Jabiru Area School. Attendees were asked for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Jabiru Firies and their annual Santa Lolly Run for the community.

The event was a great success, with a strong turnout and a sense of pride among the students as they served their loved ones and neighbours. It was a heartwarming reminder of the strength and spirit that these male role models bring into their lives.
