Swan Hill Men Honour ANZACs

Swan Hill Academy (VIC) members and cousins Elijah and Nyawi Moore didn’t let the COVID-19 pandemic dent their spirits this ANZAC Day.

The pair were accompanied by Academy Director Danny Fraser and Swan Hill College Assistant Principal De Rosewarne at a small wreath laying ceremony at the Swan Hill Cenotaph.

The young men laid a specially arranged wreath and paid their respects to men and women who had fallen and were still serving in the armed forces.

President of Swan Hill RSL Club Barry Townley messaged the academy with his thanks.

“Congratulations to you and the Clontarf boys for honouring ANZAC Day in a special way,” he said. “You should be very proud of the boys.”

The academy acknowledged the boys’ efforts by presenting them with a framed photo of them from the morning so they could take home to their families.

Well done Elijah and Nyawi!
