Perth-based Clontarf alumni came together in late December for an end-of-year ‘Alumni Dinner and Yarn’ at the Clontarf Zone Office in Bentley.
There was a strong turnout on the night, with plenty of familiar faces coming together to reconnect, catch up and share a few laughs. Over dinner, alumni swapped stories from the year that was, talked about what they are working towards next and enjoyed plenty of good-natured banter.
The food did not last long, but the discussions did. Alumni took the chance to spend time with Clontarf staff and with each other, including people they had not seen for some time.
Those who attended also had the opportunity to take home donated items to their families, including Lego and Nerf products provided through Good360, which were well received on the night.
Alumni spoke positively about the catch-up. Carl Green, a 2013 graduate, said it was “the best turn out for a long time” and that it was “great to see old faces again and have a few good yarns”.
Ethan Smart, a 2012 graduate, said, “Love these events. Always great to reconnect with alumni and Clontarf staff. Great feed and company.”
Long-standing Clontarf staff member Shane Kiely said, “These young men are all great fellas, who have all had some big wins along the journey. They always make me laugh.”
Clontarf thanks everyone who came along and helped make the night a strong way to wrap up the year.
